“Refresh” covers updating a space (like a kitchen or bathroom), “Repair” covers fixing something that’s broken (tile, windows, fencing), and “Replace” covers swapping out materials entirely (siding, roofing, windows, decking, railings).
Do you only do small jobs, or can you handle bigger projects too?
We handle the smaller maintenance and repair jobs that don’t need a full remodel, think of it as clearing your home to-do list. For larger renovations, we refer clients to our sister companies, AMEK Design + Build and Vujovich Design Build.
Can you work on historic homes?
Yes. Our team has experience across a wide range of home styles, from historic properties to new builds.

Who is Artisan Home Services?
We’re a trusted Twin Cities home services company specializing in residential Refresh, Repair, and Replace projects for both interior and exterior spaces. Our experienced team brings quality craftsmanship, clear communication, and dependable service to every home regardless of the size.
What experience does your team have?
Our team has decades of hands-on experience in carpentry, project planning and phasing, and budget management. Together, that adds up to more than 75 years of construction experience, helping us plan projects carefully, solve problems, and deliver quality work.
Who runs Artisan Home Services?
Paul Schmidt serves as General Manager, bringing more than 30 years of hands-on construction experience and a practical, thoughtful approach to serving homeowners and leading his team. Outside of work, Paul enjoys spending time with his wife and children, hunting, traveling, smoking meat, serving others, and looking forward to becoming a grandpa this October.
